Talk about 7 minutes in (Prog) heaven.
LestWeForget are one of those hard working bands that never seem to stop and rest, just last year they released the EP Theatres of the Mind, which included the awesome single 'Zero Won'. Instead of just taking it easy during this global pandemic, they've dropped new music in the form of the epic 'Visitors'.
With 'Visitors' I feel the three piece Progressive Metal outfit from Oxford have outdone themselves, while Theatres of the Mind was brilliant, with this new single, LestWeForget have transcended to the next level, and it sounds amazing.
The boys have crafted a 7 minute guitar heaven of a Prog Metal masterpiece, that comes across as multiple tracks that flow into one another flawlessly and are only marked by a subtle change of style, but all the while telling a single mind boggling story.
The chemistry between these three musicians can be felt as 'Visitors' dances along, drawing you in closer and closer until you are wrapped up and lost in the journey of the song's protagonist, where your only companions are Harry and Paul's beautiful guitar work and Norris' voice; this is what music should do every time you listen to it.
When I first heard of 'Visitors' I got a little excited, I thought the boys were preparing to release another EP, or even their debut album, but while I've been told that isn't the case at this moment in time, there is still new music to come from the Oxford lads soon.
When we asked JH Norris what the future holds for LestWeForget, he told us "The current global situation has meant that we, like many artists, have been unable to record, but we’ve been busy making the most of lockdown by writing new material. Our plan is to release a number of new singles over the coming months, but we’ve needed to be flexible about our schedule. Rest assured that new music is on its way from us soon - it’s just difficult to say exactly when right now!"
