We don't cover much Portuguese bands here at Ronon's Reviews, hell, let's be honest and say we don't get to check out a lot of nations music. But today we can at least showcase one of Portugal's underground bands: Nowhere To Be Found.
'The Prey' is Nowhere To Be Found's second single this year and they haven't released much before it, and this lack of content has left me wanting more. They've been described as a mix of Melodic Metalcore, Alternative Metal with a hint of Post-Hardcore, but personally on 'The Prey' I can only hear the Alt Metal and it sounds awesome.
The band as a whole are on point and you'll find yourself nodding your head in seconds. But special mention has to go to Tiago Duarte, that dude has a terrific Metal voice, and he knows how to use it well.
2019 seems to be Nowhere To Be Found's year, they've dropped two great singles (the other being 'Traverse' with Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire) and have featured on the new CBS series Sounds of the Underground (so far they are the only non-US band to do so). It just begs the question, when will we see an EP or full length?
Nowhere have mentioned that they have been working with Swedish producer Henrik Udd (who's previous assignments were Bring Me The Horizon and Architects) and sound engineer Ted Jensen (engineer of choice for Metallica, Green Day, Muse, Deftones, Slipknot, Paul McCartney, Madonna and Coldplay to name a few), so that tells me there is something in the works, let's just hope it comes sooner rather than later.
