"The Earthists. have never been shy to play around with their Metalcore sound"

The Earthists. have had a bit of a rough start to October, leaving their record label over what looks like a contract dispute, which can almost always knock the wind out of a band’s sails. But four days later the Tokyo based Metalcore act bounced back in style with the release of a huge new single called ‘Suicidal Temple’.
The Earthists. have never been shy to play around with their Metalcore sound, going so far as to inject aspects of Jazz, Progressive Rock, Ambient and R&B into it to keep in fresh. For ‘Suicidal Temple’ they’ve taken their experimentation a step further by also adding an extra level of heaviness, and it totally sounds fucking awesome.
The dark themed lyrics work extremely well with the unrelenting guitars and the ominous drumming, and the piano that they’ve interlaced throughout the song in an awesome touch.

‘Suicidal Temple’ is an instant classic for me as it’s the Earthists. at their finest, pushing themselves out of their comfort zone by continually experimenting, they are a band that are never just content and are always looking at the future of their sound.

Last year’s LIFEBINDER is an awesome record, but nothing off it came close to this level of heavy, which makes me wonder what the Earthists.' next release will sound like, and when will I get a chance to hear it?
8/10
