"No clean vocals, guitars so low you can feel them in your chest and almost foreboding like drumming.

What’s not to love?"

Whenever it comes to music, I always find myself gravitating towards the gloomier side of things. I was never a massive fan of the Emo genre but I enjoyed a few tracks. My point to all this is, most of us have those low moments in our lives and negative thoughts, for me personally, music was always my saviour (as I know it is for a lot of people). And the darker the content the better, it allows you to know “you’re not alone”. That is why I’m loving Blacks0n’s latest single, ‘Nowhere To Run’.

Blacks0n is a two piece Prog Deathcore band from Parma Italy, and I know two pieces that have a huge sound is all the rage these days, but what these two bring to the table is phenomenal.

No clean vocals, guitars so low you can feel them in your chest and almost foreboding like drumming. What’s not to love? Lyrically it reaches out to the listener and lets them know that they not alone with their feelings of dread and despair.

This is Blacks0n’s second single released in the lead up to their EP A Cry For Inspiration, which comes out on the 12th of July. I’ve been listening to both tracks since Friday when ‘Nowhere To Run’ dropped and I can honestly say, I’m looking forward to the EP. This, and ‘On the Wings of Defeat’ are fucking amazing and have left me craving more. Roll on the 12th and expect a review.

9/10
