Track of the Week: 'Alive' by Bleed from Within

You know a track is good right as it starts sometimes, like it's destiny.

"At four albums deep, it's safe to say this Scottish group have found their stride"

Right from the opening notes I knew I was going to enjoy Bleed from Within's 'Alive', it just has that unexplainable feel to it. The Glasgow 5 piece have mixed Metalcore with Melodic Death Metal elements, while also bringing some Groove Metal to the party and the end result is an amazing assault on the listeners ears.
Bleed from Within's 'Alive' is full of throaty yet still quite clear growls, kick ass riffs, menacing bass lines and some sick sounding drumming, and it all comes together wonderfully.

While listening to 'Alive', I can hear bits of Parkway Drive, Architects and As I Lay Dying, but not in a way that Bleed from Within stole any ideas, more as they are fans of said bands, and have been influenced by them, and incorporated small aspects into their own sound, and I love it.

Bleed from Within
At four albums deep, it's safe to say this Scottish group have found their stride, they made two pure Deathcore releases (their first two), evolved with their third into something more melodic, and they built upon that with their fourth record Era, which is where 'Alive' is from. I don't know where Bleed from Within is heading, but I'm betting it's going to be an interesting journey.

8/10
