Why won't mainstream media play these guys... oh yeah.
Dune Rats have been plying their trade for almost a decade now, but I only discovered them late last year while in Australia, where their single 'Crazy', was all over the youth radio stations on heavy rotation and I found it infectious with it's high tempo energy.
The best advert YouTube could have showed me.
I listen to a lot of music, "obviously!" I hear you all screaming into your screens at once, but I really do. I have whatever I am reviewing at the time on constant loop, and when I'm working on other things, I've got either Spotify or YouTube on random trying to discover something new, which is what happened the other day when I first heard the German band Half Me and their second single 'Livebait'.
Today we welcome Stone Sour into our Awesome Covers series.
Stone Sour and Corey Taylor are known for their fondness of covers, the latter even does his own acoustic shows chocked full of them. So it should come as no surprise that Stone Sour added the iconic track 'Wicked Game', to their special edition release of Come What(ever) May.
A case of loving the message, but despising the delivery...
Straight away, I need to say, this is not an extra Track of the Week, but just a review that I feel I needed to do.
A week ago today (4th of March for those of you reading in the future), Asking Alexandria dropped the 3rd single off their upcoming album Like A House On Fire, entitled 'Antisocialist'... and I hate it.
It's been ages since a song worked its way into my brain and refused to leave.
Despite the fact that The Amity Affliction is a huge name in the Metalcore world, I've never really listened to their music before. Sure, I've obviously heard the odd occasional track here and there, but I doubt I knew who they were at the time.
