Papa Roach is in the midst of an awesome come back which started in 2015 with their release  F.E.A.R. The band, if you remember were massive back in 2000 with their debut album Infest which included the truly fuckin epic ‘Last Resort’ that still gets massive amounts of airplay today.
Roach never left the scene, they have some brilliant records under their belts, such as Lovehatetragedy and The Paramour Sessions. But it was around 2003 they had dropped off the radar, never getting mentioned in most Alternative publications and radio stations, it was like they fell of the face of the Earth, you had to go out of your way to find hear anything about them. But now they continue their re-rise with Crooked Teeth.
Papa Roach lead singer Jacoby Shaddix
For a man who sings about some dark shit, Jacoby Shaddix is always quick to a smile.
Even though Crooked Teeth was released on the 19th of May, we’ve been hearing about it since last November when lead single ‘Crooked Teeth’ dropped, a decent rock track that does the job, but it's nothing special though.

It's ‘My Medication’ that really stands out with its slow intro before picking up the pace for the choruses, this sounds vintage Papa Roach and I loved it. ‘Periscope’ which features Skylar Grey is a great duet tune and a little something different.

Second single ‘Help’ was what the band should have lead with, easy on the ear rock riffs, catchy lyrics, it’s all here. But top pick from me is ‘Sunrise Trailer Park’ with added vocals from Machine Gun Kelly, while it is more rap oriented it’s not too over the top and fits well with the toned-down sound Roach is bringing, plus I’m always a sucker for an emotional song.
The band Papa Roach
Smile boys, you are rich and famous!
Like a lot of bands I review on here I have a bit of a soft spot for Papa Roach, they weren’t too far behind Korn and Slipknot as one of my pathways bands, leading me away from the pop charts and Infest still gets played on my Spotify at least every couple of months.

Which makes this a little hard to say… I wasn’t that impressed with Crooked Teeth. It’s a great mix of the old safe sound and new experimental stuff, but enough of it just didn’t hit the right spot for me. I had my favourite tracks after the first couple of listens but that was it, nothing afterwards sprang out and surprised me like some albums do.

I still recommend it to all the Papa Roach fans out there, hell even Rockers and light Metalheads might enjoy it, this one is just not for me but I can’t wait for a tour and follow up, I still love them.
6/10

Incubus have been around a long time and still manage to release some top new tracks, 8 was an awesome album no matter what Kerrang says

The Doom remake/reboot divided a lot of people when it came out, but at the end of the day, your blasting demons thinking about the old one. Fun times.

Yep, The Serenity of Suffering proves that bands that have been around the block more than a couple of times like Korn are still awesome.
