I've been a massive fan of Birds of Tokyo for years, I first discovered their music back in '07, when they dropped their record Day One with the amazing 'Wayside'; a fan was born the second I heard that song. I followed their music religiously before leaving Australia, even when they continually slid from Alt to Pop Rock and back again. I still loved their music, because no matter what sound they'd use, I could always hear singer Ian Kenny's soul laid out for all to hear.
In today's world, we need this cover more than ever.
I had completely forgotten about this song until the other day, when it randomly came on the radio and I had to stop what I was doing to just listen to it. Then I decided that Green Day's cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' had to be my next Awesome Covers track.
A case of loving the message, but despising the delivery...
Straight away, I need to say, this is not an extra Track of the Week, but just a review that I feel I needed to do.
A week ago today (4th of March for those of you reading in the future), Asking Alexandria dropped the 3rd single off their upcoming album Like A House On Fire, entitled 'Antisocialist'... and I hate it.
Some people are saying A Day To Remember’s new album Bad Vibrations cements their place as the kings of metalcore. I say bullshit
I’m glad I finally got the chance to review A Day To Remember record, I’ve known of them for years but never really heard much of their stuff besides the singles that are all over the Rock and Metal airwaves here in the UK and to be fair most of the said singles are pretty decent and hard hitting.
