A slightly flawed but great game.
As some of you regulars might know, I’ve been waiting patiently for State of Decay 2 for a while now, despite the fact I only started playing the original game a few months ago when I bought the Xbox Gamer Pass (best £7 subscription ever). Sadly I had to be patient until the long weekend before I could sink my teeth (pun intended) into it properly, but I’m loving it. There are some flaws, but I’ll get to those soon, the main point I want to make right now is: State of Decay 2 is totally worth the £23 price tag.
It’s been a while since a game has given me such an emotional rollercoaster ride.
When I first heard about the game Sea of Thieves I was told to think of an MMO version of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, but without the assassin aspect, so my expectations were high. Sadly, I missed the early access testing, but I had read positive things.
This is my answer to "What game do you want remade with today's graphics?"... Every. Single. Time.
With all the hype recently surrounding the announcement of Fable 4, I decided reinstalling Fable: The Lost Chapters (10th anniversary edition) and playing it for a review was a good idea to remember why we are all so excited. Turns out for entertainment purposes it was great, but for a man with limited time, not so good.
Even with its controversy, EA have released an amazing game.
I was one of those people who pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront II right after the Beta, I’d seen what was on offer and liked it. Even when all the controversy came up regarding the loot box situation, I just thought 'I can play this without spending the extra’ and I can proudly say that I haven't spent a dime AND unlocked at least one of the premium characters.
Ubisoft’s plan to push their sales succeeded, I’ve proudly bought Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Every January I sit down and roughly figure out what games I’ll purchase for the Xbox over the year. Ghost Recon Wildlands wasn’t on that list, hell I don’t even think I’d heard of it back then. Since that time, I’ve have seen the early game play footage of the four guys performing a snatch and grab, and I knew this was something I had to own. Fast forward to last weekend when I found out Ubisoft was offering gamers 5 hours as a demo, I was addicted.
