I'm a simple man, if I see a Metalcore cover of a Linkin Park track... I dive in head first.
I've missed our Awesome Covers series, and I know more than a handful of you have also because you've told us, well I have a treat for you guys today. Last week a band that I've been following on social media for ages but hadn't featured yet, Moment of Madness, gave us the heads up that they were dropping a Metalcore version of the Linkin Park classic 'In The End', and the rest of that week was one of the longest times in my life.

Coronavirus needs to fuck off so I can see these girls and guys live!
It was only in the later stages of last year that I realised that Billie Eilish had taken over the world, and if I had any doubts, they were gone once she won triple j's Hottest 100 with 'Bad Guy'. I can't deny it's a catchy tune, but as usual, I've found a better version, this time from the Spanish based band: Ankor.
When the cover is better than the original...
Over the years I've come across Leo Moracchioli on YouTube countless times, his Metal covers of popular songs are brilliant. The man is a massively talented musician and he will feature in this series as we go on, but today I want to share with you guys one of his best (in my opinion): Tones and I's 'Dance Monkey'.
A modern day classic cover.
Today's cover is a relatively new one, having only been played for the first time February 14th 2019, on the Australian alternative radio station triple j's segment Like A Version, where many future covers will come from. But today we're shining the spotlight on the powerful 'Bulls on Parade' by Denzel Curry.
In today's world, we need this cover more than ever.
I had completely forgotten about this song until the other day, when it randomly came on the radio and I had to stop what I was doing to just listen to it. Then I decided that Green Day's cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' had to be my next Awesome Covers track.
