Since The Lego Movie was (surprisingly) a huge hit, it wasn’t a shock when they decided to do another one. Thank fuck for the second instalment, they choose to go with a story centred on the only good character that graced the sleazefest of the first movie: Batman.

The idea for Sausage Party came to Seth Rogen, almost certainly during a day spent on the couch smoking weed with Jonah Hill and James Franco (that are also offering their voices for a few roles together with some other usual suspects) a while ago, but surprisingly took him eight years to find a studio that would finance that. I said surprisingly because I really don’t understand why since it's pretty obvious this flick is certain to make some serious cash: all adults love a naughty Comedy and all underage kids dying to watch a movie they have been told they are not allowed to.

Transformers The MovieIt was in this moment that I realised this film wasn't fucking around...
It’s been thirty years since one of my favourite cartoon movies hit the big screen, yep that’s right, today is the 30th anniversary of the great Autobot Massacre of 86, but more on that later.

After 2 massive and successful seasons of toy commercials, whoops I mean shows, the makers of Transformers decided to do a full length before moving onto the darker season 3. But to say Transformers: The Movie was a light hearted romp is a massive understatement, in the span of 10 minutes over half of the characters were killed.

I’ve seen a lot of TMNT lately and is safe to say Out Of The Shadows is the best of the bunch.

Picture
Directed by:
  • Dave Green
Written by:
  • Josh Appelbaum
  • André Nemec
Cast:
  • Noel Fisher as Michelangelo
  • Jeremy Howard as Donatello
  • Pete Ploszek as Leonardo
  • Alan Ritchson as Raphael
  • Tony Shalhoub as Splinter
  • Megan Fox as April O'Neil
  • Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick
  • Laura Linney as Police Chief Rebecca Vincent
  • Tyler Perry as Dr. Baxter Stockman
Length:
  • Approx. 135 min
Genre:
  • Action
  • Superhero
Don’t go to the cinema thinking TMNT2 will have an unexpected M. Night Shyamalan twist at the end. Don’t go to the pictures expecting TMNT2 to utilize the same breathtaking cinematography of a Lars von Trier film. Don’t go to the movies hoping for Tarantino style dialogues or the tits and incest of a George R. R. Martin story. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a plain and simple action movie and if you want to see a butt load of fight sequences, witty jokes and out of this world special effects, you won’t be disappointed one bit.
