As some of you regular readers and Twitch followers might know, I love Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, a title that I came late to, but made up for it by playing the shit out it still to this day, I can easily loose myself in the Bolivian landscape for hours at a time. So when the news got to me that the Beta test of the sequel Breakpoint would be happening early September, I immediately applied and eagerly awaited the day to get into some new Tactical Shooter mayhem.

The following review is of the limited Beta test that took place from the 5th till the 8th of September, where I spent roughly 16 hours.

Track of the Week: 'Alive' by Bleed from Within

You know a track is good right as it starts sometimes, like it's destiny.

"At four albums deep, it's safe to say this Scottish group have found their stride"

Right from the opening notes I knew I was going to enjoy Bleed from Within's 'Alive', it just has that unexplainable feel to it. The Glasgow 5 piece have mixed Metalcore with Melodic Death Metal elements, while also bringing some Groove Metal to the party and the end result is an amazing assault on the listeners ears.

Awesome Covers 'Losing My Religion' by Lacuna Coil

An interesting take on a classic song, done in a style no one would have thought it to be played in.

"Scabbia has a voice that can turn an average song into something so much better, like today's feature, Lacuna Coil's version of R.E.M.'s 'Losing My Religion'."

Confession time kids, I am in love with an Italian Goddess that isn't Mags! Shock horror right? No, the angel I'm sharing my affection with is Cristina Scabbia, the front woman of Lacuna Coil. It has nothing to do with her looks (though she is stunning), it's her voice.

Track of the Week: ‘Masochist’ by Polaris

18/11/2019

I’ve been looking forward to this, for quite some time.

Picture

"we’re here for the track ‘Masochist’, which follows in the band’s previous releases' footsteps by being epically awesome."

‘Masochist’ came out of nowhere and took me completely by surprise, I mean, I had heard nothing from the Sydney based band in ages, then all of the sudden while looking for a video on YouTube for a review, I happened to spot ‘Masochist’ out of the corner of my eye.
