Gojira has had an amazing career and their latest Magma continues this trend.
Formed in Bayonne France in 1996 Gojira is one of those awesome bands that you’ve never heard of but are absolutely massive in their niche and their sixth full length album, Magma which hit the airwaves on the 17th of June 2016, recorded at the Silver Cord Studios in Queens New York and released through Roadrunner
Since the moment the sequel of one of the most loved movies of 2013 has been announced, the Horror Community was in trepidation for The Conjuring 2. I’ve heard a lot of people saying it’s even better than the first, I'm positively not one of those.
What happens when Hardcore Punk and Metalcore come together? Beartooth, that’s what!
Beartooth is a 4-piece that formed in Columbus, Ohio back in 2012 and in my personal opinion are the greatest Hardcore Punk and Metalcore infusion band I’ve ever heard of, there, I finally said it. So firstly some history to prove my point: two years and only one EP after getting together they drop their first album Disgusting, on the 10th of June 2014, on the strength of that they proceed to headline around Europe and participate in the Van’s Warped Tour.
I’ve seen a lot of TMNT lately and is safe to say Out Of The Shadows is the best of the bunch.
Don’t go to the cinema thinking TMNT2 will have an unexpected M. Night Shyamalan twist at the end. Don’t go to the pictures expecting TMNT2 to utilize the same breathtaking cinematography of a Lars von Trier film. Don’t go to the movies hoping for Tarantino style dialogues or the tits and incest of a George R. R. Martin story. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a plain and simple action movie and if you want to see a butt load of fight sequences, witty jokes and out of this world special effects, you won’t be disappointed one bit.
England has really jumped on the Metalcore band wagon since its inception and it has helped bring some amazing bands out, none more so than Architects who just released their latest: All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us.
Formed all the way down in Brighton back in 2004, Architects have been one of the frontline Metalcore bands here in the UK and last week’s album All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us is nothing short of brilliant.
