Thank you once again Twitter for introducing yet another amazing generally unheard of band into my life: Black Coast.
I had originally planned on doing a review of the latest Sick Puppies album, but Spotify had only released it in the US and Canada meaning I had to wait (still waiting as of Sunday the 29th of May). So while flicking through my Twitter feed I stumbled across Black Coast, a 5-piece Metal and Hardcore band formed in Stoke-on-Trent in 2015 and made up of Charlie Hewitt (vocals), Jack Beardsall (bass), Matt Clarke (drums), Joe Mayer and Scott Pinnington (both guitarists). Despite being under a year old, Black Coast already had their first EP, Crows of the North, out on both iTunes and Spotify since February 26th.
After all's said and done, EFIL4ZAGGIN is one of the most influential albums ever produced.
Today N.W.A. celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its history-making second and final full length album EFIL4ZAGGIN. The album that brought the group to the next level because of their hardcore lyrics and image behind them. It represented a lifestyle that people in the hood felt proud about and people in the suburbs wanted to achieve and it had no qualms about what it was. The life of a Gangsta and takin no shit.
I think this is one of those movies that just keeps getting better after every watch.
The VVitch was one of the most anticipated movies this year and it really divided the public. I personally don’t understand why as I can’t find a singular flaw with this film, if I have to be pedantic, the one little kink I had is understanding what they were saying at times. Since this is not my first language I find a bit tricky to understand ‘ye olde English’ now and then.
Like your Metalcore loud, hard and angry? Then look no further, Hatebreed’s The Concrete Confessional is the record for you.
The Concrete Confessional is the veteran Metaler's 7th studio album and they’re still not holding back in their aggression or pulling any of their punches. Officially coming together in 1994 in New Haven, Connecticut and currently formed of Jamey Justa (vocalist), Chris Beattie (bassist), Matt Byrne (drums) and finally Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec (both guitarists) Hatebreed is not one of the original Metalcore bands, but they’ve still cemented their place as one of the heavyweights of the genre.
Call it a remake, reboot or even a remastering, hell call it whatever you want, just as long as you admit this is an awesomesauce game.
DOOM is the latest in the offering in the video game series of the same name and I’m going to be brutally honest and say it: it’s absolutely brilliant. Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda, DOOM is a re-imagined version of the 1993 original.
It’s a horror first person shooter (FPS) that’s fast and aggressive with emphasis on speed and firepower. Originally it was going to be a sequel to 2004’s Survival Horror shooter DOOM 3, then a prequel based on earth but being more similar in gameplay to the Call of Duty series before being redesigned yet again and becoming what we have now.
