It’s been a while since a game has given me such an emotional rollercoaster ride.
When I first heard about the game Sea of Thieves I was told to think of an MMO version of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, but without the assassin aspect, so my expectations were high. Sadly, I missed the early access testing, but I had read positive things.
Netflix + Alex Garland + Natalie Portman = Cinematic Gold!
We first discovered and mentioned Annihilation to you guys late last year in a Triple R, so it was an easy choice for me to review, and I'm glad I did. Based on the award winning novel of the same name, Annihilation is a sci-fi horror, two genres that are right up my ally. Despite being hit with some controversy a few months ago, I can confirm Annihilation is a massive success for director Alex Garland, Netflix and actresses Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez and Tessa Thompson.
This is my answer to "What game do you want remade with today's graphics?"... Every. Single. Time.
With all the hype recently surrounding the announcement of Fable 4, I decided reinstalling Fable: The Lost Chapters (10th anniversary edition) and playing it for a review was a good idea to remember why we are all so excited. Turns out for entertainment purposes it was great, but for a man with limited time, not so good.
Just like with a tub of Pringles, once you pop The Sinner, you just won't be able to stop.
If you want to start watching The Sinner, I suggest you do it as soon as you wake up on a day that you have no other plans. This series is gripping from the very first chapter and it is hard not to push that ‘play next episode’ button once you get going. These people know how to make the most jaw dropping cliff-hangers.
I haven't been this excited for an album/EP in years.
As promised in my last review, this week is all about Courtesans’ newest EP Better Safe Than Sober, which saw the light of day this time last year and after hearing parts of it live not that long ago, I’m kicking myself for not discovering this band earlier. Hailing from jolly ol London Town, Courtesans are an all female Doom-Pop Indie band that has created a sizeable cult following mainly due to their amazing performances and I have to say, it's well deserved.
