More than a few industries are going to thrive in this period of forced lockdown, and the biggest two I can think of straight off the top of my head, are streaming services and video games. We live in an age where both of these things can be beamed into our homes, with no need for us to step foot outside. Last week we told you all about what is coming to the bigger Streamers, now we're sharing the gaming titles that will help keep your sanity in these trying times... If you have the data to spare. 1st of April I don't know enough about this title to sum it up (other than it looks chaotically fun) so I'll leave it to the peeps who made it, shall we? "Buckle up your back brace and fire up the delivery truck, it's time to deliver! Join up to four friends and haphazardly get the job done in an interactive sandbox world. Delivery attempted, that's a Totally Reliable Delivery Service guarantee!" 3rd of April The day is finally almost here, it's so close you can just about touch it; Resident Evil 3 is about to hit both real and virtual shelves. We first reported it was allegedly in production back in November, before adding it to the list of games we need to play this year. All the trailers I've watched point to one thing: this will be huge. 7th of April Imagine you're in a unfamiliar city, just finished a job interview and a massive earthquake strikes. Think you could survive? Want to find out? In Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories (weird title right?) this is what happens, and it's up to you to get out of the ruined urban centre alive. 10th of April I've never played any of the Final Fantasy series, but even I know this will be big, potentially 'Game of the Year' big. Sadly it will only be available for PlayStation 4 gamers for the time being, with them getting a 12-month long exclusive, and after that no details have been released as to what other consoles will feature Final Fantasy VII Remake. 14th of April Someday You'll Return gives me a massive case of the Silent Hill heebie-jeebies, it just has that feel about it. But that won't stop me from going in for a closer look at some point, in fact I'm excited as hell about it. There is no combat in the game whatsoever, but don't think this is just a "walking simulator", you'll need your brains to make it through Someday You'll Return, sounds like my kind of psychological Horror game. Space Engineers isn't quite the new title I originally thought it was, turns out it has been playable for 7 years now, but only for the PC, so there are thousands of videos showing off what this game can do and I'm blown away. Space Engineers, to me looks like a cross between Lego and Minecraft, where only your imagination can hold you back. There is currently no word as to if this will be a stand alone release or will feature on the Game Pass. 24th of April Predator: Hunting Grounds seems to be generating quite a bit of hate online, but personally I'm not understanding why. I get that we gamers deserve a great Alien Vs Predator title, but that wasn't what this was, or ever going to be. It's a 4v1 multiplayer that looks epic and I'm pissed that it's currently a PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive. If you're one of the doomed humans, your goal is to complete a mission and get the hell out. As the Predator... hunt and collect some trophies. 28th of April When I first heard about Gears Tactics, I immediately thought Microsoft was cashing in and making a Gears version of Halo Wars; I was wrong, it's more of a X-Com wannabe. That said, Gears Tactics looks great, it's set early in the Locust War, meaning lots of action and the chance to run into some of the classic characters in the franchise. But the best part? It's Game Pass Confirmed. TBA (though rumour has it April 30th) Minecraft fan who also happens to love the old school Dungeon Crawlers? Then get ready to lose your minds! While it's not a confirmed release, Developer Mojang has been aiming to get it out in April for quite some time now, and rumour has it, Minecraft Dungeons will be the light on our screens by the end of the month. It's already confirmed to be heading to Xbox's Game Pass.
