Was this ever in doubt?![]() I’ve not seen the final two episodes of The Mandalorian yet (but I’ve been told they are epic), that will happen a little later this afternoon. But not long after the dust settled on the finale, Jon Favreau, everyone’s favourite showrunner at the moment, took to his social media to confirm that season two of The Mandalorian will be out ‘Fall 2020’. From what I had read earlier this year, Disney had already green lit a second run before the first season was even released, strong was their confidence in their new show. And we also have Favreau himself admitting on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in July that he was already writing the script for the next series, where he also hopes to direct an episode or two. So this shouldn’t come with any surprise it was going to happen, what also helps is how amazing the show actually is, if you need proof you can find my spoiler filled review of episode one here. The only downside to this news is the fact we are going to wait so long, and there is minimal new Star Wars content to come in between, sure we have season seven of The Clone Wars in February, but after that nothing till The Mandalorian returns. The untitled Cassian Andor project is slated for a 2021 release, and we are still guessing that the Obi Wan mini-series will be out in early '21 at best. Still, it could be worse, we could have nothing at all.
