God damn this will be good if true...
After the massive success of the Resident Evil 2 remake earlier this year (record sales and four nominations at The Game Awards next month), you would think that Capcom would have lit the green light straight away on Nemesis, well it turns out they have... if the rumours are to be believed. ![]()
YouTuber Spawn Wave (a reliable source of video game rumours) has reported that the gaming giant Capcom has been working on Resident Evil 3 for quite some time and even aim to have it out next year.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis came out back in 1999, building on the success of the original Resident Evil 2 and brought Jill Valentine back into the fold, while also introducing one of the most infuriating (for me at least) antagonists, the titular Nemesis, an un-killable (until the very end) super zombie that chases you through most of the story.
I played a fair bit of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed my time, and while I’ve yet to check out this year’s remake of RE2, I’ve seen enough footage on Twitch to know it looks amazing and plays really well.
So I’ll be eagerly awaiting the official announcement of Nemesis (thought to be next month at The Game Awards) and the game itself.
