The Godfathers of Nu-Metal surprise us all!![]()
The boys from Bakersfield California posted last night there was a big surprise coming the following morning, but I don't think anyone expected something this huge.
The reveal was the follow up to 2016's The Serenity Of Suffering was on the way with release set for the 13th of September 2019 via Roadrunner/ Elektra and the lead single 'You'll Never Find Me' is out now (which you can hear below). This came completely out of nowhere, as all I'd heard about the band in the last few months was regarding the US tour with Alice In Chains, though I do remember hearing that they were working on something late last year. ![]()
Jonathan Davis said of the album “Deep, within our Earth lives an extraordinary force. Very few are aware of the magnitude and significance of this place where good/evil, dark/light, bliss/torment, loss/gain and hope/despair all exist as one – pulling at us every moment of our lives.
“It’s not something we can choose to navigate, but rather an awareness of this ‘presence’ that surrounds us with every breath, as if we are being watched at every moment. “It’s the place where black and white energies attach themselves to our souls, and shape our emotion, choices, perspective and ultimately our very existence. There is a miraculous and small realm within this vortex and it’s the only place where balance between these dynamic and polarising forces exists - where the soul finds its refuge. Welcome to… The Nothing.” 'You'll Never Find Me' is a doom and gloomy track, which I'm loving. It shows that Korn's 13th studio album The Nothing will have balls and should be awesome. Expect a review in September! Written by Dan.
