Read all there is to know about the Bradford duo's latest release, where to find it and much more.
Meet the Brit Electro Alt-Rock duo out of Bradford, UK: They Called Him Zone. Born in early 2016 as Mik Davis' studio-based project, he didn't wast any time and released the debut EP Miami in mid 2016. After Steve Maloney joined, a six track mini-album titled Crow Swan Wolf came out in the beginning of 2017.
The three singles 'Death Drive', 'I Want Love', and a cover of The Stooge's 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' followed before their latest full length If You’ve Got A Taste For Terror was published yesterday.
Here's what Mik Davis said about If You’ve Got A Taste For Terror: "We initially wrote most of the songs in a dank basement studio (which repeatedly flooded) in an old industrial building in Bradford's infamous red-light district. We then moved into a slightly better studio across the road - and into a unit that we later found out was once the scene of a grisly gangland kidnapping and torture.
Despite seeming like something from a Quentin Tarantino movie, this was where the main tracks from the record were produced and mixed. We’d like to think that all the darkness, deviance and drama contributed to the overall vintage, yet contemporary sounds created within this album, but who knows, certainly not us." Now that the record is out, the boys are working on a track for post album release called ‘We’re Only In It For The Drugs’ and they also have a live show on Saturday the 7th of November at The Tivoli in Buckley, UK - you can buy your ticket HERE! You can buy your copy of If You’ve Got A Taste For Terror on Amazon, Bandcamp, or you can listen to it on Spotify.
