Label:
Nuclear Blast

Genre:
Thrash Metal

The more old school of you all would be happy to know you can find the thirteenth Testament studio album, follow-up to 2016 Brotherhood of the Snake, Titans of Creation not only on digital platforms, but you can also get your actual hands on the record also in a vinyl, CD and cassette form.

Lead vocalist Chuck Billy said of the below track ‘Night of the Witch’ “[it] uses old school lyrics about witches chanting in the moonlight and casting spells. The beauty of this song is that I worked in Eric’s vocals into the chorus. I wanted to incorporate him as he does [in his symphonic metal band] Dragonlord and this song was a perfect match. It is a heavy song and a great way to introduce everyone to Titans of Creation.”

Everything Is A-OK
Violent Soho

Label:
I Oh You

Do the four from Brisbane still have a proper full time job or are they finally making enough to live off their music? Vocalist Luke Boerdam doesn't seem too concerned, here's what he said about their latest effort: “It’s honest, it doesn’t claim to be anything it’s not: it’s apolitical, slacker, cynical, and trying to connect with people over a shared experience in pointing out society’s failures and the personal shit that follows.”

Nothing is True & Everything is Possible
Enter Shikari

Picture

Label:
So Recordings
Ambush Reality

Genre:
Experimental Rock

Limited Edition formats of Nothing is True & Everything is Possible include signed prints, cassette tapes, discounted exclusive merchandise + Album Launch Show "Ticket Access Pass" options will be available direct from their webstore.

Frontman Rou Reynolds told Kerrang! about the record “Possibility is the central theme of the album, lyrically, but it also is musically, too. We’ve pushed further and asked ourselves, ‘Where can we go? Let’s fucking go there!’ One track is a symphonic orchestral piece, but then there are other tracks that wouldn’t sound out of place on our first album, [2007’s] Take To The Skies. I think one thing about this album that’s slightly different is that we set out to make something that encapsulates everything that Shikari have done. This album is more broad, and there’s more confidence in the songwriting. Plus, I produced it, so it gave us more attention to detail. There are more hours that have been put into this album than any other – a lot more sweat, toil, and crippling indecision!”

All My Heroes Are Dead
R.A. The Rugged Man

Picture

Label:
Nature Sounds Records

Genre:
Rap

“So many of the greats are gone, and the legends who made it out alive are left for dead, like a Golden Era wasteland,” R.A. explains on his official website.  “Society left our heroes and their culture for dead.  We have to dig that out of its grave and slap them in the face with what we know as greatness, and bring it back with an angry vengeance.”
“When you have children, that’s a whole other level of joy and pain and emotion. It opens whole entire universes with the pen. And when I’m gone my children will own my catalog, so I can’t deliver anything but the best work for them.”
“I didn’t want to make a whole album of just destroying rappers and rapping better than everyone.  That’s easy to me. There’s a lot of different moods and places my albums take you, and there’s way more storytelling on this album.  I love to bring listeners into different worlds with vivid depictions.”
“My legacy is on these records,” The Rugged Man says.  “I’ll be remembered for the work I lay down, and I’m very proud of this one.”

You could only get this album on digital like a chump, oooor you could go on his site and for $129.99 USD get the ultimate bundle that includes: t-shirt + autographed poster + CD + cassette + exclusive coaches jacket + stickers + enamel pin + download of album on ship date & also includes instant download of the single 'Legendary Loser'.

Human Design
Birds of Tokyo

Picture

Label:
Birds of Tokyo
Eleven: A Music Company
EMI Australia

Genre:
Alt Rock

“So here comes record number 6. Even at this stage of the game it feels like there’s still so much to figure out about what it means to be human. What it means to be vulnerable, what it means to love, and what it takes to accept yourself.” vocalist Ian Kenny wrote on their official website “It can feel like there’s some kind of flaw in our design. We’re all designed differently but we seem to circle and confront the same shit. It’s a constant process where we find true wonder and things we wish to change but hey, that’s all part of the mix isn’t it?”

What the Dead Men Say

Label:
Roadrunner Records

Genre:
Heavy Metal

“What the Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium,” frontman Matt Heafy said in a press release. “On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future Trivium. The Trivium sound is having everything the band does — on one album.”

You're Welcome
A Day to Remember

Picture

Label:
Fueld by Ramen

Genre:
Rock
Pop Punk

Here's what lead vocalist Jeremy McKinnon told Kerrang! about the sound of the new album “The whole point of this, for me, was like, ‘Let’s use the A Day To Remember formula – the same thing that everyone has always known and loved about us – but let’s take on modern influences.’ Let’s take on modern structure with the small chorus into the big drop part, and let’s do that as a band, instead of electronic stuff. Let’s use some of those elements to make cool sounding stuff as we go, but keep it that A Day To Remember sound here, and let’s mess around with new song structure, and a modern production take, but keep that heaviness that is us. It’s just crazy.”

When asked what influenced and inspired the recored, McKinnon responded: “Anything and everything. There are songs on this record that make me feel like it could be a Tom Petty song. Tom Petty’s a massive influence on me and [guitarist Kevin] Skaff, too. We all grew up listening to classic rock – and I know how that sounds here! – but there’s all sorts of stuff that’s all over the place when it comes to influences. It’s crazy. You’ll see (laughs).”

Notes on a Conditional Form
The 1975

Picture

Label:
Dirty Hit
Polydor

Genre:
Pop Rock

When asked what to expect on Notes on a Conditional Form by BBC Radio 1, lead singer Matthew Healy said the record was inspired by British nighttime culture, meaning it has references to "the beauty of the M25 and all those lights and going to McDonald's and listening to garage records in a haze in a Peugeot 206". If you've ever lived in the UK or listened to The Streets, you'll know what he's talking about.
